GUINEVERE
Guinevere secluded herself with the Holy Sisters after her ill-fated affair with Lance. She heard of the continuing unhappiness of the knights and found Lance at Glenshadows and entreating him to return to Camelot with her. She and Arthur reunited, and she returned to Camelot with Sir Percival as escort. The love she shared with Lance will remain fresh within her, but her devotion to Arthur will always triumph, and she will continue to support her husband and the Round Table.
She was kidnapped by the Black Knight, at the bidding of Prince Malagant, and subsequently rescued by Lancelot shortly before his marriage to Queen Jadess. What happened to her while in captivity remained a mystery, as it was never discussed with anyone, even Arthur. However, as months progressed it became painfully obvious that the Queen was with child.
Guinevere's Child
Arthur went on a brief crusade, at which time the duties of running Camelot fell to the Queen. During that time many fell ill in the northern province, and she was forced to go to care for the many in need. She returned almost simultaneously with her husband, and her exhaustion and distraction was obvious to him. When he discovered the Queen's condition, Arthur convinced her to remain in the confines and protection of Camelot. He only speculated as to what happened to Guinevere and has insisted on raising the child as his own, no matter it's parentage.
The Queen gave birth to a boy child, the King did not openly acknowledge the child, and Guinevere feared for the babe's safety. Malagant had returned and she feared he would figure out what had happened because of his brutality to her. She has left Camelot, with a protector, in an effort to hide the child from his evil father, yet she returned shortly afteward, filled with remorse for deserting her husband and their kingdom so impetuously. The boy was hidden in an Abbey a day's ride from Camelot.
Love Rekindled
Confused at not finding her husband back at Camelot, and not hearing word from him, she found solace and comfort in Lancelot's arms once again. Over the months which followed, the King discovered their infidelity and gave his Queen an ultimatum before he left for a month's sojourn .... be his and his alone when he returned, or leave Camelot. She knew that she would remain with her King and swore allegiance and devotion only to him, much to the disappointment of Lancelot.
A Memory Erased
As months of solitude passed, she became very ill. While lost in sleep, Merlin came to her to show her what ultimately would happen to Camelot and Arthur because of her love for Lancelot, how it would all be destroyed by her hand. She struck a bargain with Merlin and all memory of her & Lancelot's affair was removed from all of Camelot .... unbeknownst to her, the price for this 'miracle' was very high ... Merlin's life.
La Morte de Merlin
She was a devoted companion to Merlin in his final days, confiding much to him and learning, absorbing so much from him about his life and lessons. She knew she would miss him terribly. Before he died, he gave to her a blue orb to always wear around her neck ... she never took it off. Just before the moment of his death, Arthur arrived, and amongst tear-stained eyes, knighted the old wizard moments before his passing, both men in honor of the other.
Guinevere continued to wear the blue orb pendant, it's meaning unclear to her until she joined Burmaltus and Victoria on their quest. In her moment of death by poisoning, some believe at Mordred's hand, the orb was cast into the fire, resurrecting both Guinevere and Merlin. Returning safely to Camelot, she had to say adieu to her dear friends as they moved to Burmaltus's kingdom and their impending marriage.
A Land Without a King
After months of reburshing the kingdom, Arthur began to look pale and sicky, as did the land itself. Guinever carried on as best she could, maintaining decorum and keeping peace with the advisors as well as neighboring kingdoms, even in the looming animosity brought to bare through Mordred and Malagant. As the King fell deeper and deeper into a lingering sleep, her worst fears began to surface, reassured only by the arrival of Merlin who pointed out to her the everpresent link of Arthur and the Holy Grail of Christ. Speculation that the cup had been taken spread, and she, with Merlin at her side, have sent the knights and the bravest of citizens on the Quest for the Grail, in hopes of saving both the King's life and that of Camelot itself.
